Anyways, still could not understand the hype abt star wars, matrix and lord of the ring. These movies do not appeal to me at all. Why ar?

I'll still advocate reading the book especially if you think the movie adapted from it is good because most of the time many nuances, details and even sub-plots and characters are omitted in adapted screenplays!

Anyway, I really think The Matrix is an eye-opener in terms of scripting and visual fx. The 360° view and slow-mo action sequences are breath-taking and the story really gets to your head and makes you think...haha.
